Kicks and Giggles Overcome Injuries and the elements in 27-5 route

Another week, another *sswhipping.

The rain made the ball slippery and the track slick but overall, last night added to the overall mystique of the KnG. People are on notice! Not only are we bringing drinking skills and fly outfits but this year we are sporting some serious kicking skills.

The weather and other commitments cost us a few players this week. This limited Coach’s options but did not diminish his decision making abilities. He adjusted the defense as best he could, at one point having Veronique (SS) and Alex (OF) share 3rd base duties. Nifty managing trick! You should get drunk before the game more often, Coach.

Tragedy struck in the third inning. Chris K exemplified infinite effort this week by legging out a long single even though we were up 14-0. The rain soaked conditions led to a rough looking slide that sent Chris to the hospital and took the fun out of the rest of the game for everyone who stayed behind. Chris is a big part of our team and a very cool dude. So from everyone - Get better, champ!

The other team was very nice, good sports and totally aware of how clearly outclassed they were. So when offered the chance to reschedule the game after Chris’ injury we politely turned it down and focused on scoring 20 more runs than them so we could get off the field without further injury and with the maximum allowed point differential.

Said one KnGer “it was like we were playing an autistic team or something”

“Do you mean artistic?”

“No”

I’ll post photos later

-xTian
